Samantha Moore Biography

Samantha is a young female singer. She has been singing since she could talk. She and her grandmother would harmonize together when she was only 4 years old. Grandma is also her number one fan. Samantha could memorize a song after hearing it only a couple of times.

Samantha has been taking private voice lessons with Billy Purnell since December 2002. Billy has helped her grow as a singer and performer.

Samantha has a God given talent. When she was in third grade her teacher at the time heard her singing in class one day. She recommended that Samantha join a performing competition choir. From there she went on to singing solos. She did her first solo competition when she was 10 years old. When Samantha was 12 she won "California Grand Champion Soloist Country Vocals". With the choir Samantha did some mini musical theatre for competitions. She played Sally Brown in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown". She also played Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors".

Samantha was recently a finalist on "America's Most Talented Kid's" . That episode will air April 17, 2005 on PAX TV and the encore presentation will be on April 22, 2005.

Samantha was the Friday Feature Artist on KFRG 95.1 radio on January 28th, 2005. That was a fun experience. They plated the original song she recorded when she was 12. The song is called "Shelby's Song". She hopes to re-record this song in the near future. It was a lot of fun to hear the song being played on the radio. KFRG got many calls about the song and the artist. We got a lot of positive feedback from the listeners.

Samantha also sings in her high school choir. She is in the "Madrigals", they do many performances throughout the year. They will be going on tour May 30, 2005 - June 3, 2005. The will be singing on the Carnival Cruise Line ship going to San Diego, Catalina, and Ensenada Mexico. She also sings in a girl group, called "Beauty Shop". They perform at local senior centers, retirement homes. She stays very busy with this schedule. She also likes to sing pop, gospel, and some easy rock music.

November of 2004 Samantha was crowned Miss Mira Loma Teen Princess. It was a great experience. That same night she won the "Miss Congeniality Trophy". That was a great honor since this award was voted on by the other girls in the pageant.
